Camping In Europe - Six Sites That You Will Really Enjoy

Traveling through Western Europe can be an expensive exercise. Whether you are from a European country and want to explore neighboring countries, or whether you are from the other side of the world and want to get a taste of the wonders that Europe can offer you, your costs can go through the roof!
You shouldn't have to deny yourself the pleasures of sampling wine from Tuscany, visiting the Jungfrau in Switzerland, being pampered in St Tropez, or splashing out at Euro Disney. So how do you get the most out of your holiday without blowing your budget?
Accommodation is one of the biggest holiday expenses, and I'm going to show you how to reduce that cost massively by staying at holiday camping grounds (known as holiday parcs) throughout Europe.
These holiday camps are often little villages, with permanent 2 and 3 bedroom cabins fully equipped with beds, bathrooms and kitchens. Some even have decks so that you can relax outside. These camping grounds also have powered and non-powered sites for those who want to use trailers, RV's or a tent.
Many of these parcs are serviced by small supermarkets or delicatessens, as well as kiosks and even restaurants. Features vary depending on where they are located, but invariably they will offer swimming pools, tennis courts, space to play football and games rooms.
You'll be impressed by how inexpensive these holiday parcs are. As a rough guide, expect to pay 50 Euros per night compared to 150 Euros per night minimum for a quad room in a two or three star hotel. That kind of saving over an extended stay can free up your budget to really experience the best activities that Europe has to offer.
Here are six sites that you might want to consider.
1. Norcenni Girasole Club, Figline Valdarno (near Florence)
Get a taste of Tuscany by relaxing in this amazing holiday camp. Close to Florence, you can head into the city for some wonderful sightseeing, and then arrive back at the parc to enjoy four pools, a water slide, a gym and a massage. You can enjoy the gorgeous views of the rolling Tuscan hills either by foot or by bike.
2. Marina di Venezia, Punta Sabbioni (near Venice)
Staying in Venice can be rather expensive, so instead, consider staying next door at Punta Sabbioni. This holiday parc is very large and has six pools, water slides, restaurants, bars, a kids club, and most importantly, a stunning beach on the Adriatic. From here you can catch a Vaporetti to Venice and enjoy this beautiful city.
3. Manor Farm, Interlaken, Switzerland
This parc is on the amazing Lake Thun at the base of the breathtaking Swiss Alps. With wonderful scenery everywhere, you can walk, bike ride, hike, or go up the mountains and ski. You can access water sports on site, and there is also a swimming pool.
4. Le Belledonne, Bourg d'Oisans (French Alps)
If you want to see beautiful landscapes, then this is the place to go. Le Belledonne sits right in the middle of glaciers, lakes and waterfalls. The holiday camp has a bar and a restaurant, as well as a swimming pool, volleyball and boules.
5. La Baume, Frejus (French Riviera)
The French Riviera doesn't get any better than this. With seven swimming pools and close proximity to some of the hottest beach resorts on the Mediterranean, this camp is a favorite. On site there is a restaurant, takeaway, bars, tennis courts, kids play area and a gymnasium.
6. Domaine do Massereau, Sommieres
You can stay in this working wine estate in the Languedoc region of France. Enjoy walking through the vineyard and the chateau, then buy some wine and relax amongst the big oak trees. There is a swimming pool and a restaurant on site; perfect for a peaceful rural French holiday.
